Rich text editors

Tiptap dominates this category. It is a headless editor built on ProseMirror, so it ships behavior and an extension system but no toolbar or styles, and it has official Vue 3 bindings. That makes it the usual choice when an editor must match your design. CKEditor 5 and Froala provide official Vue components for complete, styled editors, vue-quilly wraps Quill 2 for Vue 3, and blok is a block-based editor that stores JSON instead of HTML.

Check licensing early: CKEditor 5 is available under the GPL or a commercial license, and Froala is a commercial product. Decide whether you want to store HTML, Markdown or structured JSON, because migrating stored content later is painful. Editors work directly with the DOM, so in Nuxt render them on the client only. vue-trix, a Trix wrapper, targets Vue 2.
