About Awesome Vue

Awesome Vue turns the community-maintained vuejs/awesome-vue list into a directory you can sort and filter. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with the list, its maintainers or the Vue.js project. The list is published under the MIT license; to add or correct an entry, contribute to it on GitHub and the change shows up here after the next sync.

The list has grown since 2015, and Vue 2 reached end of life on 31 December 2023. Many entries still only work with Vue 2 or haven't been touched in years. Each entry here carries its GitHub stars, its last commit, whether it is archived, and which Vue versions it supports, so you can skip those in a couple of clicks.

How Vue support is decided

Each library is checked against these sources in order, and the first one that names a Vue version is used. Every library page says which source it was.

  1. 1.The published package

For libraries on npm, the latest release's peer and runtime dependencies on vue, vue-demi or @nuxt/kit. This is what npm install gives you, so it wins.

  2. 2.The repository's package.json

Read from the default branch, including the usual monorepo folders, when the package isn't on npm or doesn't say.

  3. 3.The project's own words

Its current GitHub description and topics, such as vue3 or nuxt3.

  4. 4.What it builds against

A dev dependency on vue, which says which Vue the project is developed and tested with.

  5. 5.The list entry

The description in the source list. Often written years ago, so it is the last resort.

What counts as inactive

A project is inactive when its repository is archived or nothing has been pushed to it for two years. Small, finished libraries can be fine without recent commits, so inactive entries stay listed; the "Hide inactive" filter takes them out of view.
