Routing and head tags

Vue Router is the official router. The entry listed here points to the Vue 2-era repository; Vue Router 4 and later, for Vue 3, is developed in the vuejs/router repository. File-based routing, which unplugin-vue-router helped popularize, is how Nuxt and many Vite setups generate routes from a pages folder. unplugin-vue-router itself is now archived, so check its README for where that work continues.

kitbag/router is an independent, type-safe alternative, and vue-router-citadel and vite-plugin-vue-middleware add middleware-style navigation guards. vue-page-stack keeps page state when navigating back, which suits mobile-style apps. For the document head, Unhead manages title, meta and link tags with SSR support and powers useHead in Nuxt. Give every route its own title, description and canonical URL, since a single-page app otherwise serves the same head everywhere.
