Audio and video

This is a short list. vue-audio-visual, the most-starred, draws audio visualizations such as waveforms and frequency bars with the Web Audio API and supports Vue 3. vue-use-sound is a composable for short sound effects that works with Vue 2 and 3. The video entries are small Vue 3 players: Vue-Player, vue-super-player, which switches between native, HLS and FLV playback, and a wrapper for Alibaba Cloud's Aliplayer.

None of the Vue-specific video players here has a large following, so a well-supported framework-agnostic player such as Video.js, Plyr or Vidstack, mounted inside a Vue component, is often the safer choice. Check caption support, keyboard controls and adaptive streaming (HLS or DASH) before choosing, and avoid autoplay with sound, which browsers usually block anyway.
