Toasts and notifications

Four libraries are listed, all for Vue 3. notivue, the most-starred, is a full notification system with Nuxt support, while @kyvg/vue3-notification is the Vue 3 version of the long-running vue-notification package. Toastflow separates a headless toast engine from its Vue renderer, and VueToastify is a smaller drop-in component that has had no commit since early 2025.

Toasts look simple but have pitfalls. Messages should be announced through an ARIA live region, should not vanish before people can read them, and should pause on hover or focus. Check whether the library lets you trigger toasts outside components, for example from an API client or a router guard, and whether it renders correctly in Nuxt. Full UI libraries such as Vuetify, Quasar and PrimeVue also include their own notification components.
