SSR and static sites

Nuxt is the standard choice for server-side rendering in Vue. It adds file-based routing, data fetching that runs on the server, and deployment presets for Node servers, serverless and edge platforms, and it can also prerender a fully static site. It is by far the most-starred entry here and is updated constantly. Bloggrify is a Nuxt Content layer that adds themes, SEO tags and RSS feeds for blogs.

For documentation and content sites, VitePress is the Vite-based static site generator that powers the Vue documentation, and it is the spiritual successor to VuePress. The VuePress repository listed here has had no commit since 2024. îles takes an islands approach, shipping JavaScript only for the interactive parts of a page. When moving any component library into an SSR app, check that it does not touch window or document during server rendering.
